Georgia football is having a strong Day 2 of the Early Signing Period. The Dawgs added another high school commit in Jordan Hall and landed RaRa Thomas in the transfer portal.

The former Mississippi State receiver announced on Twitter Thursday afternoon as the Dawgs stay red hot on the recruiting trail. Georgia may not be done yet, either, as this signing period lasts through Friday.

Thomas is a great addition to the receiver room and to receivers coach Bryan McClendon because he was one of the best in the SEC this season. He gave SEC opponents fits all season, so it’s great to see Thomas join the good guys.

Georgia football picked up its first transfer portal member of the year.

At 6-2 and 200 pounds, Thomas gives the Dawgs another deep threat to use on the field. He will make an excellent addition to Arian Smith, AD Mitchell and others. Thomas will have two years of eligibility as he is coming off his sophomore campaign.

He chose the Dawgs over Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, which are three schools that could use extra receivers like him. Thomas is a stud with a lot of potential, giving Georgia even more weapons in the receiver room.

This year Thomas led the Bulldogs with 44 catches for 626 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. His best game of the year was against Texas A&M when he recorded five passes for 134 yards, including one 75-yard touchdown catch.

Thomas visited Athens earlier this month and went to Auburn and Ole Miss. However, the Dawgs impressed him the most and got him to pick Georgia. It’s been a good two days for the Dawgs, and it seems it will only get better for the reigning national champs.
