The Georgia Bulldogs take on Ohio State in the Peach Bowl on Saturday, and the news surrounding both teams is plentiful. From the various gems of quotes in the media periods to get an insight into the practices, there is so much going on it’s exciting to watch unfold.

Georgia may not have won the Battle of the Bowl belt, but the Dawgs want to win the actual trophy. There is a certain buzz surrounding both teams as Georgia remains cool and poised while the Buckeyes are a little too comfortable. Today’s news brief features injury updates, a prediction from one of the Georgia greats, and some observations from the Dawgs’ practice.

That last statement is an observation and not something we’ve flat-out seen from the Buckeyes, but the way they comment about Georgia is something we cannot overlook. We will have more on that later. For now, let’s focus on the daily news brief, as there is just a couple of days until the long wait is over and we know who the Peach Bowl champion is. It won’t be long until all this talking is over, and the teams can decide the outcome on the field.

The Georgia Bulldogs could see two key returners back from injury.

Georgia has had its fair share of injuries this year, and in the SEC Championship, the Dawgs saw Ladd McConkey and Warren McClendon fall to injury. Neither finished that game, but after a few weeks off, it seems promising that both could return for the game. However, head coach Kirby Smart did not budge on a definite answer. How this week goes will tell us everything.

McClendon may not be able to return as he has an MCL sprain, but who knows? That kind of injury is finicky, and it depends on the rehab. McConkey has had knee soreness throughout the year but still managed most of the season. He will hopefully return because he is a big piece of the puzzle.

It was good to see AD Mitchell back out on the practice field, and it seems he will be ready for this game. Hopefully, he will be able to take on a bigger role. Mitchell was back for the LSU game, but this matchup should really allow him to make a grand return.

The Georgia Bulldogs showed off during practice.

According to the media that visited during the practice period, Georgia was up to its usual ways — nothing to see here, and that is how Smart likes it. He will never give the media anything unless he wants the press to know something, which is why we love him.

Gunner Stockton had on a No.7 jersey, and while some think it’s a jersey change, it’s not — he is mimicking CJ Stroud for the scout team. He has done this all season, and we all know how Georgia feels about scout team quarterbacks who can play any kind of quarterback themselves.

It was a typical viewing period for the media, which is how it should be. — business as usual. Georgia is keeping it airtight, and nothing is getting out until game time.

The Georgia Bulldogs see Nick Chubb make a game prediction.

Georgia great Nick Chubb is a man of few words, but sometimes he gives some excellent one-liners. When asked by the media if he had a score prediction for this Georgia game, Chubb provided a funny yet perfect answer.

As a Georgia guy living in Cleveland, it’s clear he is torn, but we all know he is picking the Dawgs. He doesn’t want any of the Browns fans to feel some kind of way about him — they shouldn’t because he does wonders for their franchise, but you know how football fans are.

Chubb loves his Dawgs, and he knows better than most what kind of things Smart has cooking for the Buckeyes. The former Georgia great has picked the Dawgs, and we will keep an eye out for other predictions that come about before the game.

Must Read. Georgia football will overpower Ohio State with its dominant defense. light

Georgia will take the field in Atlanta for the third time this season against an Ohio State team that is overly confident. The Buckeyes have given Georgia some material, whether they want to believe it or not, and now it’s just time to wait and see the bloodshed at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
