The 2023 recruiting class will be wrapped up next week after National Signing Day, but Kirby Smart and his staff are also working hard on the 2024 class. One of the fastest players on the board is Pebblebrook four-star running back Dwight Phillips, Jr., who will be paying a visit to Athens this weekend.
Speaking of speed, cornerback Kelee Ringo has begun his preparation for the NFL Draft, and he was clocked at a lightning-fast 23.5 MPH while training with legendary defensive back Richard Sherman this week.
Two Georgia legends are going to be part of some upgrades in Athens. At the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall, the second floor will now host what’s being called the “Circle of Champions” and legendary Georgia coach Vince Dooley will be honored there. In another nod to UGA greatness, all-time Bulldog Charley Trippi will get a nod at the new construction at Sanford Stadium.
