Georgia football target: Walker Lyons, TE

Hailing from Northern California there are some obvious comparisons between Walker Lyons and Brock Bowers. Lyons originally committed to Stanford but took the opportunity to reconsider after head coach David Shaw left the program.

Georgia was the final school to meet with Lyons and pulled out all the stops with Kirby Smart, Todd Monken, and Todd Hartley making the trip. Utah and USC are also in the mix although Georgia appears favorite amongst analysts.

Whichever school Lyons commits to will have to wait for the four-star to join them as he is about to embark on an LDS mission to Norway meaning he won’t be available until the fall of 2024. However, almost certainly Lyons will be worth the wait.
