The Georgia Bulldogs football team continues to make headlines on the recruiting trail, and both hoops teams come up big. 

Over the weekend we saw some great Georgia Bulldogs recruiting news, including the commitment of 2024 speed demon, Dwight Phillips. Looking even further down the road, a highly-regarded 2025 recruit, Jontae Gilbert, had what the called an “amazing” visit to Athens over the weekend. The cornerback out of Douglass High School in Atlanta is currently committed to Ohio State. Looks like a flip could be in the future.

With the AFC and NFC Championship game wins by Kansas City and Philadelphia, respectively, there will be four former Bulldogs participating in this year’s Super Bowl.

It was a great weekend for both the men’s and women’s Georgia basketball teams. The men’s team pulled out an important overtime victory over South Carolina, thanks to the heroics of Kario Oquendo. The Lady Bulldogs absolutely dominated Mississippi State for their second straight win after dropping three consecutive SEC games.

ESPN draft specialist Matt Miller has given first-round grades to two Georgia football players, predicting Jalen Carter to go No. 3 overall, and even comparing him to the legendary Fletcher Cox, and then giving offensive tackle Broderick Jones a first-round nod at No. 16. Miiller also gives Darnell Washington an outside shot at a first-round pick.
