The minute Jim Harbaugh announced he wasn’t going to pursue an NFL job and was staying at Michigan they immediately became the favorites in the Big Ten and a College Football Playoff entrant.

Michigan has served notice that they run the Big Ten now, and while Ohio State will certainly be in the mix, they simply won’t have the team to compete with their bitter rival this year (but don’t count out Penn State, either).

As it stands, Michigan looks to be the biggest threat to Georgia’s third consecutive national championship. The Wolverines’ offense featuring quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards will be a handful for any team, especially with the defense the Wolverines will likely field.
