Missouri Tigers vs Georgia Bulldogs

Series record: Georgia leads, 11-1
Last meeting: 26-22 Georgia, 2022

Returning home from the trip to Jacksonville, the Bulldogs will meet Missouri, the team who came closest to upsetting Georgia in the regular season last year.

The Tigers can be hard to figure. They can look like iron one week and then like tin foil the next. Last year is a perfect example of that, losing close games to Auburn, Georgia, and Florida, taking each game down to the wire, but then being absolutely destroyed by Tennessee.

What will this year’s Tigers look like? That’s anybody’s guess. The big thing to take into consideration here is scheduling.

Missouri will be on a bye week while Georgia is in Jacksonville slugging it out with a hated rival. If the Georgia-Florida game is physically and/or emotionally draining, it could open the door for Missouri to pull the upset of the season.

Georgia has won nine straight against the Tigers and has only lost to Missouri once in the series’ history. Chances are that streak continues, but this is another potential trap game that Kirby Smart needs to have his team ready for. It might be the week of “adversity” Smart likes to see his team fight through.

Chance of Upset: 30%
