Georgia football NFL Combine performance: Kelee Ringo
Kelee Ringo’s stock has been on the rise for well over twelve months now and it keeps on climbing.
Ringo’s 40-yard dash time of 4.36 was the fastest time recorded by any Georgia football player in the Kirby Smart era, which proves that the work he had put in with Richard Sherman and a sports performance team paid handsome dividends.
Some unofficial reports had Ringo running in excess of 26mph. Which if we know anything, gets NFL scouts very excited.
But it wasn’t just his lightning-speed dash that caught the attention. Ringo came across very well during interviews and media Q&As. In particular, Ringo was quick to defend the culture at Georgia that Kirby Smart had instilled.
When pressed about his teammates who had been caught up in off-season drama, Ringo was quick to defend the culture that Kirby has instilled in Ringo and his teammates. From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
"“The standard at the University of Georgia is like no other. The preparation that Coach Smart gives to us, and the standard he holds us to every day, we know there’s going to be tough coaching, and we know that he means to make us better in everything he does”, Ringo told the media. “Every single day, it feels like a tryout at the University of Georgia. I feel like holding that standard .. definitely helped us grow as a team.”"
What we do know at this stage is that the Eagles, Cowboys, and Vikings have all met with Ringo this week. His performance has got him into first-round discussions and expect him to stay there.
