Georgia football vs Miami (Ohio) football

Overall record: 0-1
First meeting: Dec. 21, 1974
Last meeting: Dec. 21, 1974
Last score: 21-10 Miami (OH)

One of the few teams in the MAC Georgia has played is also on the list of the teams Georgia hasn’t beaten.

1974 was the 11th season of the Vince Dooley-Erk Russell era, and Georgia limped into the postseason with a 6-5 record.

The Bulldogs were sent to the Tangerine Bowl to play No. 15 Miami (OH), and walked out of the also-ran sweepstakes with a 21-10 loss to the Redhawks.

The chances of these two meeting in the regular season given the upcoming conference schedule changes aren’t good at all, so if Georgia wants to avenge the loss to Miami, they’ll need to hope the Redhawks get hot and become a playoff entrant at some point.
