Pro Football Focus does it again! PFF gave Michigan the honor of being the best offensive line in the country.

2nd place was Georgia. I’m not sure how many times we have to do this, but Georgia’s O-line is the best in the country. It’s not all that hard to see it either. The last two years Georgia’s offensive line has been the best in the entire country.

Personally, I think it’s ridiculous thatGeorgia’s O-line gets that much disrespect. Last season Georgia’s front only gave up 9 sacks in all 15 games. That is the fewest ever in CFB history. Georgia has  3 returning linemen and the guys who are filling up both tackle spots have a ton of playing time.

Georgia is not behind Michigan. I saw the gap between the two in the 2022 Orange Bowl. So did the rest of the country. I saw Georgia D-line do things that were borderline illegal to the Michigan O-Line. I also saw the Georgia O-line put the two best D-linemen in a blender for 4 quarters.

Now that was two years ago, but Georgia still is being disrespected and it doesn’t sit well with me. PFF is good when you need a barometer on if a team is good or not. But I feel like they have an ax to grind against Georgia.

Who knows. Georgia is going to have a good to great line this season and that should be a factor. In the last two years, Georgia has been up for the Joe Moore Award. The award is for the best Offensive line in the country. In those past two seasons, Georgia has finished 2nd to Michigan.

Again, I don’t understand the criteria for this award, but giving up the least amount of sacks in modern CFB history is deserving of an award. Hopefully, the disrespect that the O-Line has gotten will fuel them to have another great season.
