Ladd McConkey went from an afterthought to a household name. McConkey has been a steady player for Georgia Football since he stepped on campus. Now he is starting to get the recognition he deserves. This week he was picked as Preseason All-SEC.

Coupled with Matt Miller who is an NFL Draft expert saying last month that McConkey is someone who could “explode” onto the draft scene.

This could be the case for McConkey, who just last season got a career-high of 58 receptions, 7 TDs, and 762 yards receiving. 2023 could be a big season for McConkey who has established himself as the go-to wideout for the Dawgs.

This brings up the question; Could McConkey be up for the Biletnikoff Award?

Georgia has not had a Biletnikoff Award winner in the award’s history. With McConkey and the wide receiving core looking deeper and more talented than at any time in Kirby Smart’s tenure, it shouldn’t be totally ruled out that McConkey isn’t up for the award.

Breaking in as a New QB, Beck will probably be downfield for a reliable receiver.

Outside of Brock Bowers, McConkey has been that guy for Georgia for the past 2 years. With fall camp beginning at the start of August, McConkey and the rest of the wide receivers look to get into a rhythm with whoever wins the QB battle.
