With Georgia and Kirby Smart making it almost a yearly tradition going to the CFP National Championship. Knowing where the Dawgs might play in the upcoming years is good. Also, it is an added benefit because you can get a head start on booking your hotel.

  • 2024- Houston, Texas (NRG stadium)

The home of the NFL’s Houston Texas, this stadium opened in 2002. It has hosted two Super Bowls. One of those was Super 51 where the Falcons…. You know.

It has hosted the Final Four in the NCAA Men’s basketball tournament 3 times. It also hosts a rodeo every year in March.

This will be the first time Houston hosts the  CFP National Championship

  • 2025- Atlanta, Georgia (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)

This stadium is the home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United. Opened in 2017 when Arthur Blank tore down the perfectly fine Georgia Dome.

The stadium is the home of the SEC Championship.

It has hosted one Super Bowl. That was Super Bowl 53 between the Rams and the Patriots.

It has already hosted the 2018 CFP National Championship. That’s the one where Tyler Simmons was onsides and the refs missed blatant Pass interferences and face mask penalties to allow Alabama to crawl back into the game. Not like I think about that game or anything.

An interesting fact about Mercedes-Benz Stadium is that it has a Quail Feathered wall in Mr. Blank’s box. If you tour the stadium be sure to ask about it. They love showing it off!

  • 2026 – Miami, Florida (Hard Rock Stadium)

Home of the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Hurricanes. It was opened in 1986.

This stadium has hosted 6 Super Bowls, Four BCS National Title Games, and Two World Series (former home of the then-Florida Marlins)

It is also the permanent home of the Orange Bowl. In 2021 Georgia made their first appearance back in the Bowl since 1960. Georgia went on to destroy Michigan en route to a National title.

Hard Rock Stadium hosted a CFP National Championship game in 2021. That year it was limited in capacity due to COVID-19.
