Fall camp has started for Georgia Football. It’s been the hottest days of summer in Athens, the way it’s intended to be. The humidity makes you sweat in places you never thought you were able to sweat from. It’s just a miserable existence.

While we common folk are stressing about how to get to the car while sweating through a shirt; Georgia football players are praying Coach Smart doesn’t chew them out on the mic. If you have been around the south end of campus or have watched reports do a shot outside the practice facility you have probably heard Kirby Smart’s voice echoing loudly.

I live right over the river from Sanford Stadium and oftentimes when the football team is doing some activity in the stadium, I can hear Kirby’s voice from my living room.

So needless to say Kirby Smart is loud and full of vigor.

That’s probably why you hear players saying the practice is harder than the games. That’s not lip service or a cliche either. Not only are they going against the best players in the entire country day in and day out, but they are also having Smart on their case if they mess up the slightest.

So when Smart talks about culture, that’s what the culture is. Culture is doing every little thing right. The devil is in the details.

Also, take Kirby Smart’s locker room speech that was leaked during the National title game of last season. While yes it had the fanbase and players riled up, Smart said something that showed us all the culture.

Smart talked about how easy it was. How easy the game of football is. Nobody should worry, they did that in practice. They prepared for 365 days. To keep it safe for work, I’m paraphrasing here, but Smart said this showed the culture in Georgia.

So when the rival fans base or the national media starts to wonder when Georgia is going to go away from the national stage. It is simple to point to the culture. Georgia football is not going to go anywhere until Kirby Smart doesn’t scream on the microphone.
