Georgia Football has even more injuries in the running back room. Daijun Edwards is out with an apparent MCL injury. However, there is good news in this report. Edwards was seen running with the injured players off to the side of practice. So it is safe to say Edwards will be back out there soon.

This is obviously not great for the Dawgs to start off their season with a wounded running back room. I know, it gets annoying to read me complain once again in the running back room, but it is a problem. Georgia may go into the first two games depending on guys who are inexperienced.

Roderick Robison and Andrew Paul could be Herschel Walker and Robert Edwards, but they have shown their talents in a D-1 live Football game. I know many of you there have said that you were not concerned about the running back room; are you all now a little worried?

Edwards, Branson Robinson, and Milton are the three backs that have real playing time. Milton has seemingly missed time because of injury since he got to Georgia. That’s not his fault, but he is injury-prone. So really all it took was someone else being out of those three and we have a real issue. That’s literally happening.

I know some out there in the media have said that Georgia is fine. UT-Martin and Ball State are not nightmare fuel for teams. But, South Carolina is in a month. So hopefully the running back room gets a little more healthy by that time.

Kirby Smart has said that the team has capable backs and it should not hamper the offense. I tend to let Smart guide my opinions of Georgia football. So I will go along with this narrative. But Cash Jones (no offense, Cash) is not the guy I want to depend on to get a yard.

Hopefully, this is the last of the injuries in the running back room. But as we all know the SEC is a grind. It’s not out of the question that Georgia has more injuries at the running back spot. Edwards and Milton should be coming back soon. Hopefully Roderick Robison and Andrew Paul a ton of snaps early so we know what Georgia has in the running back room.

Next. Kirby Smart’s process. dark
