Georgia Football: How to watch Georgia vs South Carolina
By Max Tolbert
Georgia football is set for an SEC showdown with the Gamecocks of South Carolina. The game is in the primetime spot for the SEC at 3:30 on CBS.
We all know what that means! We have our favorite and smartest color analyst, Gary Danielson! Not only does Gary know everything, but he will tell you he knows everything. I am sure that Georgia and South Carolina fans will not complain about whatever Gary says during the game. By the way, all of that, was sarcasm. I’ll probably listen to the game on mute. I do like Brad Nessler; he is a pro’s pro. But Gary, whew!
Anyway, outside of complaining about the broadcasting crew, the game should be good. The weather for Saturday’s game should be perfect. No chance of rain and a high of 77. What more could you ask for in an early fall Saturday?
The crowd inside Sanford Stadium should be raucous. Kirby Smart has challenged the fans going to the game to be early and loud. About every time Kirby challenges the fan base, they exceed expectations. This all started when Smart was asked about the comments Tonka Hemingway did not make. Tonka did not name Sanford Stadium as a tough place to play. Yours truly wrote a blog that made some South Carolina fans upset. Most of what I wrote was sarcasm, but the Gamecock fans took exception to my blog. South Carolina fans are upset that Smart called Tonka out by name.
Smart said this when asked about Tonka’s statement.
"“What people want to question whether our fans are elite, we’ll find out Saturday, right? It sounds like Tonka called ‘em out, Maybe we need to use Tonka for motivation and let him be the one that spurns our group to come out there at 3:30 and be really loud and fired up. I certainly hope our fan base will be. They’ve answered the bell every single time. I don’t know why they wouldn’t now.”"
We will find out on Saturday if the fans are elite or not. How many false starts do the Gamecocks have on Saturday? I am going with five.
The Dawgs are 27.5-point favorites in this game. It will be a great Saturday night if the Dawgs not only win but cover.
