Georgia football: Halftime panic

Georgia Football had one of their worst first half since last year’s Mizzou game. The Dawgs are behind 14-3.

The offense has been slow, to say the least. I don’t know what Mike Bobo is doing. Georgia has had four drives that have resulted in 3 points. The passing game looks off; I don’t know if we should blame Beck, Bobo, or the O-line. The offense has been a struggle so far, and hopefully, the Dawgs do something in the second half, or it will be a long game. It should be 14-6, but you know kickers. I have said this before, but I have no confidence in the kickers. The Dawgs get the ball first in the second half. Can they score?

Defensively, it has been meh. They have done enough to keep the Dawgs in the game. Tackling has been an issue. Rattler looks like a Heisman trophy winner by how he runs over the defense. Also, outside of Lassiter, the defensive backs have played C- game. There is way too much cushion. The defensive line has not got any push at all. I thought this Gamecock O-line was bad?  What happened?

This game feels weird, and I do not want a defeatist attitude, but it does not look good right now. I am more nervous about this game than the Ohio State game. Georgia has not played well in all three phases. This was supposed to be a test to see where we are at. So far, mid-way through the test, we are failing. Can the Dawgs turn it around? I hope so; I really do. South Carolina is not doing anything special; they are just flat-out playing better.

I do not have anything positive to say at all. Just none. This looks like an average football team. I don’t know what is going to happen. Hopefully, the dawgs make some adjustments, and they come out swinging. I lied; I do have one positive, and that is Alabama is losing to South Florida. So there is that. But I am more worried about the Dawgs.

Also, can I complain about the Refs? There have been multiple missed calls on South Carolina. I am not 100% sure, but Georgia probably has most of the penalties in this game. So, once again, I’ll complain about the refs.
