Georgia football is starting to come together. Well, that is what I saw last night inside Sanford Stadium. I started seeing this team start putting it all together, and for the first time, things clicked. I know it was against UAB; no matter the opponent, everything was a struggle for the season’s first three games.

So when I finally had enough bars on my phone walking out of the stadium, I was stunned by the whining Georgia fans were doing online. What did I miss? Did I see something others didn’t? No, I did not see anything different. Some online wanted to see Georgia play perfectly.

The standard we view this 2023 team needs to be corrected. We hold them to perform like the past two teams. You don’t have to replicate last year to win a national title! There is not a team in college football that is better than Georgia. There isn’t a more dominant team than Georgia. So calm down. I am tired of the complaining about Bobo and Beck. Mike Bobo doesn’t drop wide-open passes or get called for holding. If Georgia does not score on a drive, it is a lack of execution.

I am tired of the complaining in general. Looking back on people’s comments during or before halftime, you would have thought Georgia looked horrible and was down 11 at the half. Georgia was up 14 points at the half!

This week, the offense played well. They started fast, scoring on the first possession, and ended fast by scoring in a two-for-one situation at the end of the half. It was great seeing Brock Bowers be Brock Bowers. Bowers had 9 receptions, went for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns. These are just silly numbers for a tight end.

Carson Beck threw for a career-high 337 yards, completed 22 of 32 passing attempts, and threw three touchdowns. Again, Beck does everything he needs to play winning football.

Daijun Edwards had 12 carries for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns. The offense played well; they had 582 yards total as a team. Georgia had 600 yards, and fans are out there calling for Bobo’s head!

The defense played okay yesterday. In his post-game press conference, Kirby Smart echoed that the defense needed to play better. Smart said it was a lack of communication that hampered the defense. UAB did an excellent job dialing up plays on offense. Georgia’s defense played well despite a fumbled return that gave UAB a short field. UAB only had 86 yards rushing and only threw for 250 yards. The Dawgs D only gave up 336 yards, which is okay. Most of those yards were gained against backups.

I have said this a million times: I will never worry about Georgia’s defense as long as Kirby Smart is the head coach of Georgia. So, I am once again not concerned about the defense. I chalk up their subpar performance to a lack of execution. Sometimes, that happens when you play a lesser opponent. This game would have been uglier without the turnovers and missing two wide-open receivers. So Georgia probably played a B+ game when it could have played an A game. But I need to watch the TV copy of the game and see if I missed something. So, on Monday, check out the blog for report cards. I am not ashamed to plug the blog!

This Georgia team is starting to come together. This team will only be better once they get some injured guys back. Smart said they had six starters and six twos out for this week’s game. That is 12 guys that play a ton of snaps to you and me. So, this team will only improve as the season moves along. Just be patient.

There isn’t a team out there who is better than the Dawgs. Have you seen all the top teams yesterday? Every single one struggled. So take a deep breath. Everything is okay. Also, do not worry about Auburn. Did you see them against A&M? Their offense is putrid, and I’m unsure if they will score against Georgia. Anyway, stop complaining; Georgia is going to be fine.
