Georgia Football: Week 10 predictions and bets
By Max Tolbert
Georgia football takes on the Missouri Tigers in a huge Week 10 matchup. But there are other big games, and it is Thursday, which means we have to pick some games. Last week, I got some excellent vibes trending in my direction, and then the Kentucky vs. Tennessee game happened. I should have never picked the Cats in that game, but I picked them to finish second in the East. I should have never done it. But I was right picking Auburn and Oregon. So, at least I have a read on something. Overall, I am 15-18 on the season, three under .500. If you took my numbers from the mid-point of the season, I would be one of the hottest selectors in the world. Come Thanksgiving, I will be above .500. Hopefully, bowl season will be kind to me. Alright, let’s get into some picks. Remember, on Friday, I pick the Georgia game separately, so sorry to those looking for that game; come back Friday!
Arkansas vs. Flordia ( -6.0) over/under 50.5- Ceasers
- Date: November 4th, 2023
- Game Time: 12:00 pm
- Venue: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium AKA: The Swamp (Gainesville, (Georgia*) Florida)
- How to Watch: ESPN2
- Streaming on FuboTV
Why am I even talking about this game? Why are you reading about this game? All great points. I am picking this game because I will watch this game to the bitter and pull for the Razorbacks as hard as possible. Before I get into predictions, why did I put Gainesville, Georgia, and not Florida? That is because the University of Georgia legally owns everything the University of Florida used to own. Instead of the Oar, both schools decided to play for keeps. So congrats to Kirby Smart, the new mayor of Gainesville, Florida. Alright, back to the picks.
I am picking Arkansas purely out of my heart. I have no real reason other than I like Coach Pittman and hope he keeps his job. They must win this game to keep their hopes of bowl eligibility alive. The Razorbacks may rattle off some wins and get into a bowl. So, I am rooting for that outcome hard. Plus, I hate Florida, and would it not be funny if Florida missed a bowl game? So that is why I am picking the Razorbacks to win this game. Please give me the points and the Hogs.
Kansas State vs. Texas ( -4.0) over/under 49.5- Ceasers
- Date: November 4th, 2023
- Game Time: 12:00 pm
- Venue: DKR Texas Memorial Stadium (Austin, Texas)
- How to Watch: Fox

Do I go against Texas at home? Why is my gut telling me to go against Texas here? Quinn Ewers is hurt and will likely not be back for a while, but Texas is the vastly better team. This K-State team lost to Mizzou and Oklahoma State. They lost both those games by one possession. So, this Wildcat team is not all that bad. But they are playing on the road; it’s at 11 a.m. central time. Screw it, I will pick K-State to win this game and crush Texas’s hopes of making the CFP title game. How fitting for the big two in the Big 12 to ruin the conference’s chances of making it to the playoffs. It would be pretty funny to me. So, that is why I am picking K-State in this game.
I have no idea really about either team. I watched K-State against Mizzou and watched Texas against Alabama. That is how in-depth I get when picking these games. I go off my gut: if you try to use your brain on these games, you are likely wrong. Furthermore, I have always liked the K-State road uniforms. So, it will make it easier to pull them off of aesthetics, I guess. But what does it matter? You do not care about these games; we enjoy college football and love Georgia football. Plus, I don’t want to see Texas in the CFP playoffs. I have never liked Texas or their fans, and now they are coming into our conference. Gross! So give me the Wildcats and the over.
LSU vs. Alabama ( -3.0) over/under 61.0- Ceasers
- Date: November 4th, 2023
- Game Time: 7:45 pm
- Venue: Bryant-Denny Stadium (Tuscaloosa, Alabama )
- How to Watch: CBS
- Streaming on FuboTV
This game is always big; this year is no exception. Both these teams have CFP hopes and hopes of going to Atlanta to play in the SEC Championship. Yes, LSU still has hope in the CFP playoffs. I don’t care what you think; if they win out, they deserve to get in. The Tigers have one of the best offenses in College football and one of the worst defense as well. Alabama has an okay offense and a great defense. So the critical match-up is LSU’s offense vs Alabama’s Defense.
LSU is the better team. Plus, if Alabama does what they have done in a few games and starts slow, they could be down 14 to 17 points early. But I want Alabama to win. It sounds weird that a Georgia fan is pulling for Bama, but I am. I want Georgia to have a chance in Atlanta, in front of the entire world, to drive a stake in the heart of the Alabama dynasty. I want all the pain and suffering I went through to be avenged in Atlanta in December. That game would also parallel the 2008 SEC Championship; more later.
So, Is it the intelligent pick to bet against LSU with the points? No! But I will because I want Georgia to have a chance to have one last dance with Nick Saban and Alabama. So give me the Tide and the over. This one could go into overtime as well.
So there you folks have it; week ten picks are in the books. I should go 3-0 in picks this week. More than likely, I won’t, but who cares? There are only two games that matter the most to me, and those two are Georgia vs. Mizzou and LSU vs. Alabama. As long as those go how I want them to, I will be happy. I want one to go my way, or I won’t feel any happiness. Return and read the Georgia vs. Mizzou prediction post on Friday morning/afternoon.
