Georgia vs Missouri Matchups, Predictions, and Pick
It seems Missouri usually finds a way to give Georgia a tough game, and with the Tigers in the hunt for both the SEC East lead and a possible College Football Playoff berth, they will be motivated even more than usual.
Georgia, on the other hand, has been steadily improving all season, as has starting quarterback Carson Beck. Coming in at No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings despite winning 25 straight games may have provided Kirby Smart with a little bulletin board material.
Missouri’s suspect pass defense and stellar defensive line play will be the determining factors of this game. If Georgia’s offensive line can hold up against a Missouri pass rush that has tallied 24 sacks on the season, then Beck will be able to pick the Tigers’ secondary apart.
Georgia has only allowed eight sacks all season, but they have yet to play a team with a defensive line as fast and active as Missouri’s.
The first half will be a test of wills and probably a low-scoring affair from both teams. Look for Georgia to wear down Mizzou in the second half and pull away as they’ve so often done this season. Carson Beck will probably have his lowest total yardage output of the season, but will make the big throws when they count.
