SEC QB rankings No. 5: Brady Cook, Missouri

  • Passing yards: 2,471
  • TD: 16 INT: 5
  • Comp: 67.3%
  • YPA: 9.1

Brady Cook is the default guy behind the top 4. It feels like there is a clear tier drop to Cook, even though Missouri’s offense has been fantastic all year. In Week 10 against Georgia, Cook threw for 212 yards on 14-29 passing with a touchdown and two picks, he was just not good enough in a 30-21 loss.

By EPA, Cook is third in the SEC and he’s fifth in QBR. Cook’s best games have come against bad defenses. In the Tigers’ two losses, he has four of his five interceptions.

Cook is lucky to have Luther Burden III at wide receiver because Burden helps him out a lot, especially after the catch. Cook is averaging 9.0 yards per attempt but has an average depth of target of 9.3 and a completion percentage of 66.7%. Burden is first in the SEC and fourth in the country in yards after the catch with 535.
