Georgia football takes on Ole Miss in the headline game for Week 11. But we will first look at the three best bets in the SEC this week. I have finally reached my goal of being .500! I went 3-0 last week, making me an even 18-18 on the year. Sitting inside Trapeze Pub after watching the Dawgs win a big game and realizing I was even on the year was a great feeling. But I must keep pushing and moving to finish above .500 for the year.

Also, I cannot believe we only have two more weeks to go after this week. Two more weeks! Where did this season go? I remember the first week like it was last week! We all have to enjoy these final few weeks of games on our TVs every Saturday. Soon, it will be the dead of February, and all that is going on is regular season NBA, gross! So enjoy the last game in Sanford this year and enjoy Week 11. Alright, let’s get into some picks!

Alabama vs. Kentucky ( +11.5) over/under 47.0- Ceasers

  • Venue: Kroger Field (Lexington, Kentucky)

This line stinks. Something is up. Why is Alabama only favored by 11.5? I need to learn how to take this one. Vegas has slightly misread this Alabama team as of late. The Tide has improved a ton since that ugly game down in Tampa against USF. This is a good Alabama team. Are they like the Alabama teams of the past? No, but they are still very capable of winning a national title. The difference in this game is the defense. Alabama’s is one of the best in the country, while Kentucky…. Eh, not so great.

Kentucky was better than I thought they were. It would be monumental for Stoops and the Wildcats if they were to win this game. Kentucky would give Stoops a lifetime contract if he won this game. This game will come down to defense and QBs. Devin Leary has not shown me anything to suggest that he can beat this Alabama team. So I will take Bama and the points. Do I feel confident in that? No, but Alabama is the better team, so I am laying the points.

Tennessee vs. Missouri ( +1.5) over/under 57.0- Ceasers

  • Date: November 11th, 2023
  • Game Time: 3:30 pm
  • Venue: Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field (Columbia, Missouri)
  • How to Watch: CBS

I don’t know about y’all, but I was impressed by how Mizzou played last Saturday. They had to play nearly perfect to pull that one out, and they almost did on the road. Everyone is on the Vols in this one, but I am not 100% convinced they are better than the Tigers. The problem is that it is Mizzou; they are not the flashy school everyone likes. The Vols are that dazzling name brand people like. Sometimes, Great-Value food is better than the name-brand stuff. So look, do not be fooled just because they are Mizzou. Look at what they have done rather than what they are supposed to be.

A ton is still on the line for both of these teams. A NY6 Bowl bid is on the line, and for the Vols, it is a chance to play in Atlanta. I have seen many people go with the Vols here because they want a Georgia vs Tennessee SEC East title game. This is not WWE; this sport rarely works that way. Mizou is the better team; with that logic, they win this one. I think they win this one with or without Lurther Burden. So give me the Tigers and a bid for an NY6 Bowl.

Auburn vs. Arkansas ( +1.5) over/under 57.0- Ceasers

  • Date: November 11th, 2023
  • Game Time: 4:00 pm
  • Venue: Razorback Stadium (Fayetteville, Arkansas)
  • How to Watch: SEC Network
  • Streaming on FuboTV

Why am I writing about this game? Why are you reading this far about the game? You should have clicked out! Well, I am going to take Arkansas in this game. I do not care about what people say or how bad the hogs look; I will ride with them the rest of the year. Almost every player coached by Sam Pittman or has had interactions with him has only positive things to say. When I was in Georgia as a student, I would ask O-linemen about coach Pittman, and their eyes would light up. And they would not only have something great to say about the guy, but they had tremendous stories about the guy. I cannot say here because of the fear of losing my job, but if you heard a Coach Pittman story, it is probably true.

So, because of the fear that he could lose his job, the Razorback players are trying to save him. If they make it to a bowl game, more than likely, the decision-makers at Arkansas will give him one more year. It is not totally out of the question that they make a bowl; they have to win out. They did that against a decent Florida team, and now they have to do it against a spunky Auburn team. If they do, all that is left is Mizzou in two weeks when they play them on Friday after Thanksgiving.

So I will take the Hogs in this one, and they will likely win this one by double digits. How is that for bold predictions?

There you have it; Week 11 picks are in. Hopefully, this is when I get above .500. We shall see. The Georgia vs. Ole Miss prediction blog will be up Friday; hopefully, this one is on time. To give a preview, the crowd will play a big part. Enjoy the fall weather this weekend and every minute of football this week. Soon, we will be in the dead of winter, wishing a game was happening that weekend.
