While many of the best teams in the SEC have cupcakes on the schedule in Week 12, the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs have a rivalry game against the No. 21 Tennessee Volunteers.

ESPN’s College GameDay is in Harrisonburg Virginia for James Madison’s matchup against Appalachian State, but Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and guest picker PFT Commenter gave their picks for the biggest matchup in the SEC this week.

Georgia is riding high after pounding then No. 9 Ole Miss 52-17 and the Vols are coming off a 36-7 loss to Missouri. That could make it a tough spot for Georgia, so Kirby Smart will need to make sure his team is up for the game against Joe Milton III and Tennessee.

Who did the ESPN College GameDay cast pick for Georgia and Tennessee?

Panelist picks:

Desmond Howard: Georgia

Pat McAfee: Georgia

PFT Commenter (guest picker): Tennessee

Kirk Herbstreit: Georgia

Lee Corso: Georgia

PFT Commenter co-hosts a podcast with former Tennessee star running back Arian Foster and said he was making the pick for his friend Arian. Lee Corso said it best, “that guy must be a good friend of yours for you to pick Tennessee.”

The crew mostly liked Georgia to win a close one.

Herbstreit said “Tennessee looked awful last week, Georgia is peaking at the right time, and is supposed to dominate this game. Because of that energy this is college football, don’t be shocked if this game is close. Tennessee can save their season if PFT’s right and they pull off this upset.” Herbstreit continued “I see it close, and then Georgia over time on the road just takes over. They’re just too good.”
