November 27, 2021: Georgia posts its biggest shutout vs Georgia Tech before claiming national title

It’s only fitting that the biggest shutout Georgia has ever posted against Georgia Tech came in their first national championship season since 1980.

Georgia pulled into Bobby Dodd Stadium ranked No. 1 in the nation and was ready to take the next step. As in past seasons, the Bulldogs were not going to let little brother stand in the way when they had bigger fish to fry.

Stetson Bennett carved up the Yellow Jackets like a Thanksgiving turkey, throwing for 255 yards and four touchdowns, two of which went to freshman sensation tight end, Brock Bowers.

This was absolutely the most convincing win by the Dawgs in the entire rivalry. Georgia left nothing to chance and completely dominated the Yellow Jackets in every phase of the game. It was a team on a mission, and Tech stood no chance.
