Todd Gurley (RB). 6. player. 51. . .

Georgia: 2012-14

NFL: 2015-20

Teams: Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons

Accomplishments: 2017 Offensive Player of the Year, 2015 Rookie of the Year, 3x Pro Bowl, 2x All-Pro

Everyone knew about Todd Gurley’s knee issues when he was at Georgia, but that didn’t stop him from being selected 10th overall in the 2015 draft by the St. Louis Rams. He hit the ground running as a rookie, with 1,106 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, but his career really took off when the Rams moved to LA and hired Sean McVay.

McVay’s Shanahan-inspired outside zone running game was a perfect fit for Gurley. In his first year in the system, he ran for 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns, caught 64 passes for 788 yards and six more scores. He was the Offensive Player of the Year for that 2017 season, and in 2018 led the Rams to a Super Bowl appearance.

The knee injuries returned for Gurley and cut his career short, forcing him to retire after six seasons at the age of 27.
