Georgia football is coming off a somewhat disappointing season in 2024. Sure the Bulldogs still won the SEC and made the College Football Playoff, but going 10-2 in the regular season and failing to win a game in the CFP left a bad taste in the mouths of Georgia fans.

On top of that, there were a lot of glaring weaknesses to Georgia’s team last year. So it was very apparent that Kirby Smart and his staff needed to make some significant moves in the transfer portal to get the roster in a better spot before the 2025 season.

And so far Georgia has done just that, highlighted by these three impressive acquisitions.

1. WR Zachariah Branch

It's pretty obvious which transfer portal acquisition for Georgia was the best so far this offseason, and that is USC transfer Zachariah Branch.

Branch is a trasnfer wide receiver from USC who is regarded as one of the best and most electric players in the country. According to the 247Sports transfer portal rankings, Branch is the No. 11 overall player in the portal and No. 4 wide receiver. Out of high school, he was ranked even higher as the No. 7 overall player and top ranked wide receiver in the country.

Branch is coming off a season that saw him record 47 receptions for 503 yards and one touchdown. He is also electric as a returner on special teams as well, so Georgia fans will be able to watch Branch dominate all over the field next season.

So UGA fans better get used to hearing Branch's name, because he will be a starter next season while also having a great chance at being Georgia's leading receiver.
