3 bold predictions for Georgia football vs. No. 1 Texas
3. Georgia wins by 10+
I don't think it's possible to predict anything more bold than Georgia defeating Texas by at least 10 points. Predicting Georgia to win by one point is probably bold enough for most, but even if this prediction is borderline insane I do think it's possible.
Texas (respectfully) hasn't played a team with a pulse this season. Michigan and Oklahoma are the two quality programs they have faced, but the Sooners are now outside of the AP Poll's top 25 and Michigan still being ranked is a crime that the AP voters need to give us an explanation for. So we really don't know just how good this Texas team is simply because they haven't played a quality opponent yet.
Georgia on the other hand has played multiple very good teams.
The Bulldogs' season opening win against Clemson is arguably the best win in the country to date. And even though Georgia lost to Alabama, that loss on the road will help prepare them for this game at Texas.
A win even by the slightest margin is all that matters, but I just have a strange feeling that Georgia is going to find a way to get it done and make a statement while doing so. So give me the Bulldogs to come home with a comfortable upset win in their first game as an underdog since 2021.
