The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner and this event is always one of the most exciting for Georgia football fans. The best year for UGA was in 2022 when a record 15 players were selected from Georgia. Georgia is unlikely to break that record this season, but they still have a chance to have more players selected than any other team this year.
The one position however that Georgia fans are not too confident will do too well in the draft is the offensive line. The main reason being that UGA's line struggled a lot this season, especially in the three games they lost this year. So while Georgia's offensive lineman likely will get drafted still, not many are expecting them to get selected very high.
Everyone except Matt Miller who is an NFL Draft expert with ESPN who recently made the below statement online.
"The Georgia interior offensive line was definitely banged up this year, but all three--Dylan Fairchild, Jared Wilson, Tate Ratledge--look like plug-and-play NFL starters to me," Miller shared on social media. "They're being oddly slept on."
Can these three make an impact in the NFL?
It is hard to get a good read on how successful of an NFL career these three players could have in the NFL. Are they all capable of making an impact in the league at some point in their careers? Absolutely. But it would be surprising to see them do that early in their careers let alone as rookies.
But that doesn't mean they can't develop to become great players in the future. It is hard to ever expect an offensive lineman to excel in the NFL as a rookie anyways, but with the right coaching at the right organization all three players could find a lot of success.
So it will be very interesting to see where all three players end up, and if Miller is right they will be drafted higher than most expect.
