Week 2 is already expected to be another overwhelming Georgia football win, as the Bulldogs face Austin Peay in Athens. With ESPN analytics favoring them by 99 percent, this is expected to be a sleeper. However, despite the overwhelming difference in talent, there are some metrics to look at for Georgia fans to call this a "successful" week.
3. Keep Feeding Zachariah Branch the Ball
Though he only had three catches in Week 1, Zachariah Branch has already shown this Georgia team exactly what he can do. He reeled in 95 receiving yards, which included one 47-yard touchdown. Along with that, Branch had three punt returns for 24 net yards.
The key for Georgia this week is to not slow down in getting Branch touches. Six touches will suffice when playing a smaller college in the earlier weeks, but Georgia needs to start looking to continue to break in the transfer into this offense. Expect Branch to get even more touches this week as the Bulldogs look ahead to their road trip to Tennessee.
2. Defensive Backs: Do Your Job
The secondary was not tested often against Marshall, as it primarily focused on running the ball. However, Austin Peay is different than Marshall - AP threw the ball 20 times in its season-opener last week.
As Georgia looks to face a slightly more difficult challenge for defending the pass, all the secondary needs to do is their job. Don't allow big plays down the field and keep everyone in front of you. As long as this young and talented secondary does that, the Dawgs should have no problem on Saturday.
1. Get Some Pressure on the QB
Georgia came away with zero sacks in Week 1 against Marshall. Though they played a team that focuses on running the ball, that is unacceptable in Kirby Smart's eyes. Expect Georgia to draw up some knew schemes to get to the quarterback and come away with more sacks this week.
With Austin Peay primarily being a passing offense, the defensive line and linebackers will have plenty of chances to get to the QB. Watch out specifically for Raylen Wilson, the speedy linebacker that has drawn comparisons to Jalon Walker. He could be a key for this defense and come away with some sacks against the Governors.
