All Georgia football fans need other games to watch whenever the Bulldogs aren't playing. For Georgia fans that want to watch a game that could have a potential impact on the Bulldogs' season, there are a few games in week two that are worth keeping an eye on.
Here are the three must watch games for Georgia fans during week two this weekend.
Michigan vs Oklahoma
Though Georgia does not play either one of these teams in the regular season, it can be a telling game of how the SEC will shape out this season. Oklahoma struggled last season, but they revamped in the Transfer Portal and have some promise to look forward to in 2025. Specifically, John Mateer who was one of the highest rated quarterbacks in the portal.
After a three touchdown performance paired with 392 yards last week, the Sooners are looking to build on this new-look team. On the other hand, Michigan is a team that if success continues could face Georgia in a potential College Football Playoff matchup.
Ole Miss vs Kentucky
Though Ole Miss is a significant favorite in this game by being favored in ESPN Analytics by 83.6 percent, Kentucky beat this Rebels team last year. Georgia plays both of these teams this season, making it a significant game for the Bulldogs.
Kentucky is looking to get back to their old ways and were primarily focused on running the ball last week. Taking time of possesion away from the Ole Miss offense will be critical for Kentucky's success. Georgia fans should watch out for if Kentucky has a strong enough run game, or if Ole Miss has an electric offense.
USF vs Florida
The talent of DJ Lagway is something nobody can ignore. Although his freshman season was filled with plenty of ups and downs, he is expected to make a significant jump in his sophomore campaign. Florida opened the season with an easier opponent in Long Island, but USF poses a much tougher matchup with what many are calling a Heisman contender in Byrum Brown.
This game could potentially be an unprecedented shootout in Gainesville. If a shootout game is to happen, it'll be huge for Georgia to see how Lagway reacts to that pressure.
