3. Momentum

Momentum is a real thing in sports. Whether it be in one specific game or across an entire season, momentum is always a talking point and reason why a team either does really well or really bad.

Georgia right now currently has a lot of positive momentum in their favor. That's what happens when you comfortably beat a top 10 Tennessee team at home then blowout UMass the week after.

This momentum is something that Georgia needs to hold onto for as long as they can. They have a massive opportunity looming next week in the SEC Championship game against either Texas or Texas A&M. They also have the College Football Playoff right around the corner as well. So the last thing Kirby Smart and Georgia need right now is an upset loss at home to their in-state rival.

Thankfully it sounds like Georgia knows the importance of winning this game on Friday, because a loss would ruin their season while a win keeps all of their goals and dreams alive.
