There always needs to be a college football game to tune into when Georgia isn't playing or things just aren't going their way. For Georgia football fans, there aren't that many SEC games to watch this week. However, the ones that are on can have massive implications on how the rest of their season plays out.
Here are the three most important games Georgia fans must watch during week six of the college football season.
1. Texas vs Florida
Two teams that have had their fair share of struggles are set to face off in Gainesville on Saturday. Texas has seemingly gotten over the hump as Arch Manning has started to thrive against weaker competition. However, he plays a very talented Florida defense this week.
Though the Gators don't have the wins or stats to show it, this Florida team has the talent to beat any roster in America. If DJ Lagway has learned to keep the turnovers to a minimum and improve his timing on downfield throws, this could be a serious trap game for Texas.
Georgia is set to play both of these teams later this year. This game will determine a lot about how the rest of the season will play out for both these teams.
Mississippi State vs Texas A&M
Mississippi State lost a hearbreaker versus Tennessee last week. However, the Bulldogs should be proud they put up a fight against the Volunteers' high-powered offense given their season expectations to start the year. Now that the game against Tennessee is behind them, they have to travel to one of, if not the, most hostile environment in college football to play the red-hot Aggies.
Georgia is set to play Mississippi State later this season. UGA should be able to weigh just how scary this Mississippi State team might be to play after their showing against the Aggies this Saturday.
Vanderbilt vs Alabama
After losing a very winnable game against Alabama last week, Georgia fans will probably be rooting for the downfall of the Crimson Tide against the Commodores... but should they? This game will say a lot not only about Alabama, but also a lot about Georgia. If Vanderbilt comes into Tuscaloosa and puts up a fight or even beats the Crimson Tide, what does that say about the Bulldogs?
Whether Alabama is just that good or Georgia is just that bad will be answered against Vanderbilt. Not to diminish what Vanderbilt has accomplished this season, but they should not be on the same level as Georgia. If they go in and thrive against Alabama, Georgia might have bigger issues than anyone thought.
