3 takeaways from Georgia's embarrassing loss to Ole Miss
Now that was about as ugly as Georgia football has played in who knows how long. The Bulldogs were dominated all night by Ole Miss en route to their stunning 28-10 loss against the Rebels on Saturday.
The offense couldn't move the ball to save their lives, the defense was exposed, and Kirby Smart had no answers either. It was an all around terrible performance from Georgia.
It's hard to pick just three takeaways from this game, but here are the three that stand out the most.
1. Wide receivers continue to drop the ball
Something has to change at some point, right? Georgia's wide recievers once again failed to do the the most important thing that a receiver needs to do.
Catch the ball.
Sure it was a rainy night, so anyone would have expected there to be a couple drops throughout the game. But Georgia had more drops than anyone could ever count.
And the worst part of it all was that most of the drops came on plays that would have picked up first downs and kept drives alive. Instead, Georgia had to punt the ball back to Ole Miss. Who knows what would have happened if these drives were extended by simply catching a ball that hits the receiver right in their hands.
Carson Beck is working through his own struggles right now, but if his receivers can't catch the ball then there really is not much else he can do.
