3 takeaways from Georgia's upset win over No. 1 Texas
3. Is Georgia allergic to quick first quarter starts?
Now I know it's hard to complain about anything after such a big win, but there is one obvious thing that continues to haunt this Georgia team. Why can't they start fast on offense?
To be fair to Georgia, as the first quarter progressed and moved into the second quarter they were playing very well. That however doesn't change the fact that the start of the game was ugly. Let's take a look at how the Bulldogs' first three drives went.
1st Drive: Three and out.
2nd Drive: Interception on second play.
3rd Drive: Interception in the red zone.
Thankfully this start didn't end up hurting Georgia, thanks to the strip sack from Daylen Everette, but I would love to see the Bulldogs score a touchdown on the first drive of the game for once.
I know I'm being very picky because Georgia was up 17-0 early in the second quarter, but this is still an important area that needs to get better if Georgia is going to win championships this season.
