3 teams that pose the biggest threat to Georgia winning a national championship
No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes
After handing out that much praise to Oregon, it only makes sense that the next team to mention is the team whose only loss is to the Ducks by one point. Ohio State is 10-1 this season, and were one or two plays away from beating Oregon on the road earlier this season.
On top of that, Ohio State also has a very good road win against Penn State, which is the Nittany Lions only loss this season.
The Buckeyes also arguably have the best roster on paper in the country as well. The big question mark surrounding the Buckeyes however is their coaching staff, specifically Ryan Day. Can he finally get over the hump and win the big game? That is yet to be seen, but Georgia would have a big coaching advantage with Kirby Smart.
That is something he'll have a chance to do next week as they will get their rematch with Oregon in the Big Ten Championship game as long as they handle their business against Michigan this weekend.
But the Buckeye are another team that would be nice for Georgia to avoid for as long as possible. And similarly to Oregon, that will likely happen if they win the SEC Championship game as the Buckeyes are looking like a lock for the 5-seed.
