3. Texas Longhorns
It was hard to decide if Texas should be included on this list or not after their dreadful performance against Ohio State in their season opener. Arch Manning proved that the hype surrounding him was fake and he isn't ready to be anywhere close to the Heisman Trophy conversation, let alone the frontrunner.
But the Texas defense deseves a lot of credit for holding OSU to just 14 points. And there is plenty of talent on the Longhorns offense for Manning to take advantage of if can figure it out. So the Longhorns very well could prevent Georgia from winning the SEC this season.
Georgia does have the benefit of playing Texas at home this season, but that doesn't guarantee a win. There is also the chance these two teams could meet in Atlanta just like they did last season. So the Longhorns will potentially have two chances to eliminate Georgia from SEC Championship contention, and this team is good enough to take advantage of those opportunities.
