3 things Georgia football must do to beat Texas
2. Slow down 3-headed running back monster
Texas has one of the best offenses in the country. They are also very efficient both in the run and passing game. So if Georgia wants to win they’re going to have to make Texas as one dimensional as possible.
You can’t go wrong either way, but I’m opting to emphasize the need for Georgia to stop the Texas running attack.
The Longhorns have three running backs who will receive significant carries in this game, and all three have been lights out this year. They are all averaging at least 4.4 yards per carry and have at least 225 yards on the ground this season.
Texas is led by Quintrevion Wisner on the ground who has racked up 278 yards on only 45 carries. But it’s Jaydon Blue who gets the bulk of the carries for the Longhorns.
This descrepancy between who gets the most carries and who has the most yards just speaks to how deep the running back room is. So if Georgia wants to have a chance to win this game they have to find a way to slow down the elite Longhorn rushing attack.
