3. Win the turnover battle

An important key in any game is winning the turnover battle. But it becomes increasingly important in a game that Georgia is an underdog in.

As of the time I’m writing this post, Texas is a 3.5 point favorite. That isn’t that much by any means, but it does show that Vegas believes in Texas.

If Georgia can win the turnover battle then they will have a great chance at winning this game. However, if Georgia loses the turnover battle even by one my confidence in a win will decrease significantly. If Texas is able to win this battle by more than one there’s a chance this game gets ugly.

Forcing turnovers, and not turning the ball over themselves, is another way to take the crowd out of the game as well. Nothing gets a home crowd going like big plays, and there aren’t many bigger plays in football than turnovers. So winning the turnover battle is another way to take the crowd out of the game as well.

So I’m looking for UGA to win the turnover battle by at least one, anything more than that and I will love Georgia’s chances of winning.
