The 2025 NFL Combine is set to begin in two weeks and once again will take place in Indianapolis, IN.
Georgia football found out earlier this week that they will have 14 players participating at the Combine which is tied for the second most players from any school. It obviously goes without saying that all 14 players need a strong performance at the Combine to help their standing heading into the NFL Draft in April, but there are a few players who need to impress NFL organizations more than others.
1. RB Trevor Etienne
Running back Trevor Etienne is the first player from Georgia who has a lot to prove at the NFL Combine. Etienne is a little different than the other players on this list because he is coming off a very strong season at Georgia, but him being included has more to do with the position he plays.
Running back is becoming a less valued position in the NFL. Teams have found out that they can be successful with an average running back and they don’t need to waste their money or high draft pick on an elite back. That however isn’t the case when it comes to the best of the best at the position.
So if Etienne wants to be drafted higher which increases the value of his rookie contract, he needs to have a great performance at the Combine. This also will show NFL organizations that he has fully recovered from the small injury this past season as well which is crucial.
