2. Controversial 4th down call

There is one play call that will be debated for years and years as many UGA fans believe this one play is the sole reason Georgia lost this game.

Georgia had the ball deep in Alabama territory trailing 24-21 and faced a 4th and one. The Bulldogs could have settled for a field goal to tie the game which ultimately would have forced overtime, but Kirby Smart elected to go for it. Hindsight is 20/20 and fans will debate this decision since Georgia failed to pick up the first down, but going for it here really wasn't that bad of a decision.

The play call however was about as bad as it gets.

Instead of getting better personnel on the field for this big of a play, Georgia decided to play fast and hand the ball off to Cash Jones. Jones is Georgia's smallest running back on the roster, so that decision made no sense. Jones was tackled behind the line of scrimmage which ended up being the deciding play in this game.

As mentioned, fans will complain about the decision to not kick the field goal for years, but the thing they should be more upset about is the terrible play call.
