3. Overcame a lot of injuries
Another reason why this season wasn't a failure for Georgia is because of all the adversity they faced along the way. No one should be making excuses for Georgia's play this season, but it's hard to talk about the season and not mention the vast number of injuries they suffered.
Georgia's offensive line had to be changed almost every week because of injuries, the UGA running back room was almost non existent after a series of injuries, and how can anyone forget Beck getting hurt for the year during the most important stretch of the season? All of these injuries made Georgia's success that much more difficult to accomplish, so the fact that they were still able to win 11 games and win the conference is a big deal.
It may not be a fun thing to imagine, but imagine how much better the season could have gone had Georgia stayed as healthy as most other teams. Maybe Georgia wins one more game during the regular season and maybe they beat Notre Dame in the CFP.
It's impossible to predict what could have happened, but the fact that Georgia won the SEC and made the playoff after all of their injuries is a testament to how strong the program really is.
