4-star Alabama decommit is showing interest in Georgia
There are only about two weeks left until the early signing period begins, and that means these next two weeks are going to be wild on the recruiting trail. Now is the time when players really start to make their final decisions, with some staying locked in with their current school while others change their mind and flip to new schools.
Georgia football will not be immune to these changes in the coming weeks. The hope is that Georgia is on the receiving end and these recruits are flipping to join Georgia's recruiting class, but there is a chance a recruit could decide that Georgia just isn't right for them.
However, the most recent news on this front is that Georgia is potentially in position to land a commitment from a running back who decommitted from Alabama.
4-star RB Anthony Rogers
Four-star running back Anthony Rogers is one name that Georgia fans should pay very close attention to. Rogers is the No. 147 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 8 running back in the country and the No. 10 player from his home state of Alabama.
Rogers recently decommitted from Alabama just a few days ago, and according to On3 has said that Georgia is one of two schools he will be deciding between. Ohio State is the other school that UGA will have to beat out for Rogers' commitment next month.
Rogers plans to announce his commitment at the beginning of the early signing period in the beginning of December. However, it appears that Georgia may be trailing Ohio State as of today. Over the last two days, four crystal ball predictions were placed on 247Sports in favor of Ohio State in this recruitment.
This does not mean this recruitment is over, but Kirby Smart and Georgia are going to have a lot of work to do if they want to win this recruitment.
