A prediction in Georgia’s favor may have been the worst thing for them.

A few days ago Georgia was predicted to earn a commitment from four-star safety Jerry Outhouse. He is one of the top players in the 2027 recruiting class, so this news was a really big deal for Georgia.

This prediction was even better though because Outhouse is scheduled to announce his commitment on March 6. So in just a few short days Georgia expected to add another elite recruit to their recruiting class.

Unfortunately Outhouse might have other ideas as he publicly laughed at the prediction that was made in Georgia’s favor.

Jerry Outhouse breaks Georgia’s heart with one social media post

According to 247Sports Outhouse is the No. 144 player in the country. He also is the No. 15 safety in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 19 player from his home state of Texas.

As mentioned, the fact that Georgia was predicted to land Outhouse on March 6 was a really exciting thing to see, but he quickly ended that excitement. The above post shows Outhouse laughing at Rivals’ prediction saying they think Georgia will win his recruitment. In fact, he went as far as to question it by saying “you sure about this prediction?”

That obviously is the last thing Georgia wants to see. However, it doesn’t mean they won’t win his recruitment at the end of this week. Recruits from time to time will publicly challenge a prediction like this in an effort to try and keep their announcement a surprise. This is exactly what Jared Curtis did a few months ago when rumors began circulating that he was going to flip to Vanderbilt. So just because Outhouse said this doesn’t mean he isn’t going to still commit to Georgia.

The good news for Georgia is that they won’t have to wait much longer to find out his final decision. But what once looked like a closed deal has now turned into a recruitment Georgia needs to sweat out.
