One of the top players from the state of Georgia in the 2026 class is four-star EDGE Dre Quinn. Last month Quinn announced his commitment to Clemson over Georgia and a few other programs, but a recent video shows that Quinn may still have some interest in Georgia even though he is committed to Clemson.

Dre Quinn still repping Georgia after committing to Clemson
Quinn originally announced his commitment to Clemson back on June 19. Georgia was one of the finalists for the Peach State EDGE, but unfortunately Quinn opted to head out of state to play for Clemson instead.
No further updates had been provided about Quinn’s recruitment since he committed to Clemson, so it appeared his recruitment was over. That however changed on Wednesday as a video was posted on social media showing Quinn working out while wearing Georgia gloves.
It’s unclear at this time if Quinn is actually interested in flipping his commitment to UGA or not, but this undoubtedly is an interesting development. It’s hard to believe that Quinn doesn’t have a pair of Clemson gloves at his disposal, so why opt to wear Georgia gear instead of the school where he’s committed?
Georgia currently only has one traditional EDGE committed to their 2026 recruiting class, so it’s likely that UGA would like to add another EDGE to their class. And there really is no better candidate than Quinn who is from the state of Georgia and the No. 263 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
As mentioned, it’s unclear at this time if Quinn is actually interested in flipping to Georgia or not. But if there is even a small chance that he is Georgia should do everything they can to convince him to flip to UGA.
