One of the top players from the state of Georgia in the 2027 recruiting class is four-star safety Kennedy Green. Georgia football has been involved in his recruitment, but it is not at the capacity Green has been hoping for. In fact, Green recently shared how he is desperately hoping Georgia offers him a scholarship soon.

4-star safety wants Georgia to start recruiting him

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Green is the No. 221 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 21 safety in the 2027 class and the No. 28 overall player from the Peach State.

Green has a lot of big time programs pursuing him in his recruitment as he holds offers from Florida State, Auburn, Nebraska, Tennessee, USC, Wisconsin and a few others. However, Georgia is not a team that has offered him yet.

Based on the above report, it sounds like Georgia is in contact with Green and showing a little interest in him. However, the fact that UGA has not offered him yet shows that they are not all in on recruiting Green just yet. But this is something Green clearly wants to happen as he stated Georgia will make a "jump" in his recruitment if they do finally offer him.

Green had been committed to Mississippi State throughout a good portion of 2024, he did however decommit from their program back in January of this year. This opened the door for a lot more teams to get involved in his recruitment, but Georgia is not one of those teams yet.

It will be interesting to see if UGA ends up offering Green or not at some point throughout his recruitment. If Georgia does they will immediately become one of Green's top schools, so it may not be a bad idea to hand out a scholarship offer to him and see where things go.
