Less than a week ago, Georgia earned a massive commitment in the 2026 recruiting class when four-star corner Justice Fitzpatrick announced his commitment to UGA. Fitzpatrick is a top 50 player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings, so it’s easy to see why this news was such a big deal.
Even after this commitment however, Georgia fans know that there’s a chance Fitzpatrick could change his mind in the future. That fact has nothing to do with Fitzpatrick himself, it has more to do with the culture in recruiting today where recruits flip to other schools so often now.
Still, with his commitment coming only six days ago, one would assume Georgia would have nothing to worry about for at least a little bit of time. That however turned out to not be the case as Fitzpatrick has scheduled a visit with one of college football’s bluest blue bloods.

Georgia commit Justice Fitzpatrick will visit Ohio State
According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Fitzpatrick will make a visit to Ohio State this weekend. This visit is very concerning for many reasons because the Buckeyes are one of the top programs in the entire country. On top of that, they are the reigning National Champions, so there aren’t many programs who are hotter than them right now.
One thing in Georgia’s favor however is Kirby Smart’s long standing relationship with Fitzpatrick’s older brother, who he recruited and coached at Alabama. Many believe this connection is what led Georgia to land Fitzpatrick in the first place, so hopefully this helps UGA stay on top of Ohio State after this visit.
So be sure to pay close attention to this recruitment throughout the weekend, because if Ohio State is going to flip Fitzpatrick from Georgia that most likely would happen immediately after this visit.
