There are well over 100 players that Georgia football and Kirby Smart will recruit every recruiting cycle. However, there are always a few names that stand out for a variety of reasons. Whether it be because they are one of the top recruits in the country or because they are a legacy recruit, there is always a handful of recruits that Georgia fans will follow closely.

This time however it is because a legacy recruit with a brother currently on Georgia's team has scheduled an official visit with the Bulldogs.

4-star DL Carter Luckie

Carter Luckie is a four-star defensive lineman from Norcross, GA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 254 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 32 defensive lineman in the 2026 class as well as the No. 31 player from Georgia.

One would assume there are a lot of programs that are after Luckie because of how talented of a recruit he is, but there is likely no chance he goes anywhere other than Georgia. Why is that? Because of the history he and his family have with Georgia football.

Most Georgia fans probably recognize the last name Luckie because his older brother Lawson Luckie is a star tight end on the team. Lawson is entering his third season with the Bulldogs and will likely be featured as the lead tight end on Georgia's offense, so he definitely will be in his brothers ear trying to convince him to join him in Athens.

Luckie also has a few other relatives who have played for Georgia over the years, so he definitely grew up in a family that were all things Bulldogs. Sometimes recruits like to carve out their own path, but it would be really surprising to see that happen with Luckie. So even though no recruitment is ever over until it is officially over, this one is as close to that as possible.
