4-star OL expected to spurn Georgia and Kirby Smart for USC

Breck Kolojay is one of the few remaining targets for Georgia in the 2026 recruiting class, but he's trending towards Lincoln Riley's Trojans for Friday's commitment.

Breck Kolojay is set to announce his commitment on Friday, and the four-star 2026 offensive line recruit is trending away from Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs. There is buzz building around Kolojay committing to USC, and Rivals now has his prediction over 70 percent in favor of Lincoln Riley’s Trojans.

The fight for Kolojay is a true heavyweight bout between Georgia and USC, the two top classes in the country for 2026. USC built early, claiming the No. 1 spot before being usurped by Georgia over the summer. With 31 commits, Riley is all-in on rebuilding his program through the high school ranks, and if he lands a commitment from Kolojay, it could turn the tide back in his favor.

Breck Kolojay trending toward USC as Georgia searches for offensive line help

It’s hard to say that everything hasn’t worked out for the Bulldogs, considering they currently sit with the No. 1 class in the country and 30 commits. However, Plan A for Georgia’s 2026 group was to pair the No. 2 QB in the country, Jared Curtis, with the top-ranked offensive tackle and No. 1 overall recruit Jackson Cantwell.

Instead, Cantwell opted for Miami’s lucrative NIL deal, forcing Smart and his staff to turn their attention elsewhere in the offensive line market. The Dawgs currently have three offensive line commits, including highly-rated four-star Ekene Ogboko, the No. 41 overall player in the nation, but it appears that the program is still chasing the Cantwell miss.

Beyond their pursuit of Kolojay, the 20th-best interior offensive line recruit in the country according to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Georgia has also turned its focus to the No. 1 offensive tackle recruit in the 2027 class, Kennedy Brown. If Kolojay does opt for USC on Friday, it could only increase the Dawgs' recruiting efforts with Brown, but the No. 1 player in the 2027 class will remain a priority regardless.

Beyond USC and Georgia, the two front-runners for the IMG Academy product’s commitment, Kolojay is also considering Colorado, Miami, and Oklahoma. His commitment will come on Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel.
