The timeline of this commitment is a little strange.

Alabama beat Georgia in multiple ways this weekend. Everyone knows that the Crimson Tide were able to leave Athens with a 24-21 victory Saturday night, but Alabama also stole a recruit from Georgia in the days following their win as well.

Four-star offensive lineman Jatori Williams was one of the many visitors Georgia had on campus this past weekend. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 73 overall player in the country, so he was one of the biggest visitors Georgia had on their campus Sasturday. Unfortunately it seems like Williams may have used Georgia to get closer to Alabama because he committed to the Crimson Tide on Monday.

4-star OL spurns Georgia immediately following visit to Athens

No one can deny how strange the timing of this commitment is. Williams appearsed to be very high on Georgia heading into this weekend and many fans thought this would be a great opportunity for Georgia to become the leader in his recruitment. Unfortunately Georgia did lose on the field which can impact a recruits visit, but usually the result of the game doesn't swing things too negatively for most recruits.

But it appears Alabama's win over Georgia is what convinced Williams to commit to the Crimson Tide.

There's no way to know if this actually was the case or not, but it does seem like Williams may have used Georgia to get closer to Alabama. He may have already known that he preferred Alabama over UGA, so he used this visit as an opportunity to watch Alabama play up close and personal again.

As mentioned, it is impossible to know if Williams did that or not, but the timing of his commitment is a letter too convenient. Either way this recruitment is chalked up as yet another loss to Alabama.
