4-star WR announces new leader, despite what the experts claim

Georgia football is currently the leader for a four-star wide receiver even though recruiting experts have logged three predictions for them to land at a different school.

Recruiting is something that is nearly impossible for the average fan to follow on their own. There are way too many prospects out there who keep intimate details close to their chest, so for an average fan they are left guessing who a recruit could be interested in and who their leaders are.

Thankfully Georgia fans have recruiting experts they can rely on to get all of their intel about the recruits Georgia football is targeting. However, sometimes those experts are wrong, which can make for a very interesting recruitment.

4-star WR Ryan Mosley

Ryan Mosley is a four-star wide receiver from Carrollton, GA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 179 overall player in the country. Mosley is also the No. 28 wide receiver in the class and the No 24 overall player from Georgia as well.

Mosley recently spoke with On3's Steve Wiltfong where he spoke in length about his recruitment. However, the thing that stood out the most was when he shared that Georgia "still leads" in his recruitment.

If you have been following this recruitment closely, this would come as a surprise because three experts logged official crystal ball predictions on 247Sports for South Carolina to win this recruitment. And these predictions were made about one month ago, so they aren't even old predictions.

But Mosley claimed that Georgia "still" leads which implies that Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs have been the leader in his recruitment for quite some time, potentially even when these predictions were placed.

So this just goes to show that recruiting experts sometimes don't even know what is going on a recruitment. Thankfully the experts that were wrong in Mosley's recruitment ended up being wrong in Georgia's favor, so hopefully Smart and his staff can get this recruitment to the finish line because Mosley would be a huge addition to Georgia's recruiting class.
