It will always take a little bit of luck to win championships, and Georgia the last few seasons did not have luck on their side. Georgia has been one of the best teams in the country the last two seasons, but they were unable to win the ultimate prize by winning the College Football Playoff.
This year's team has the potential to be just as good as the best Georgia teams over the past decade, but it appears they may have luck on their side. The Bulldogs are yet to suffer a significant injury three games into the season which feels pretty fortunate, and Georgia also got lucky against Tennessee when the Volunteers game-winning field goal missed wide right.
Georgia has to still be a really good team if they are going to win the SEC and make a run at a National Championship, but they also need a little luck on their side. And Saturday's win against Tennessee showed that luck may be in their favor this season.
